Thesis Statement
I want to create a new category for those who are unable to identify ourselves between cultures due to the aftermath of cultural globalization like me. How we perceive and connect to the world are actively depending on how the mass media projects the society and our surroundings. My value of this world mostly originated from a fusion of both Asian and Western background. After coming to the States and being exposed to the overwhelming social media and American pop culture here, I realized that I had become the “medium.” I was seeing and introducing cultures from both standpoints. I have become the mixture of both oriental and occidental cultures, and there is a large group of people in the same boat with me.
